Annual Legislative Trip to the Nation’s Capitol
We have taken our children to the Nation's Capitol to meet with legislators such as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, Congressmen R. Scott, Senator John Warner and the late Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. We were fortunate enough to take a group of students (from Elkhardt Middle School) to meet with then-Senator-now-President of the United States -- President Barack Obama.

The Recreation Committee continues its original “Go Green” programs at Barack Obama Elementary School and Highland Springs Elementary School.
The appointed “Go Green Officers” are 5th grade students. The officers’ uniforms consist of badges and vests, which are provided by the Richmond Chapter Continentals. In keeping with the official colors of Continental Societies, Inc., the vests are green and the accompanying badges are red with white writing.
Our Annual Gift of Warmth Program
The Richmond Continentals distributes more than 500 new winter coats to different schools in the Richmond Public School system. This picture was taken during the distribution of those new coats at Barack Obama Elementary School.
Annual Colgate Sponsored Oral Health Day
Oral Health Day partnership with Colgate Palmolive's Bright Smiles, Bright Futures is an event we provide for children to get free dental screenings. This event is sponsored by Continental’s National Sponsor, Colgate-Palmolive. The Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Mobile Dental Van helped The Richmond Chapter of the Continental Societies, Inc. deliver dental screenings, along with asthma and obesity workshops, at Blackwell Elementary School.
